Meeting Environment Sustainable Goals whilst retaining profitability, is this achievable. Lincoln University’s Owl farm demonstration Farm in Cambridge, a joint venture with St Peter’s School since 2015, are using a “Wagon wheel” style management approach. This has taken the farm to new levels of sustainable profitability whilst reducing their environmental footprint. Owl farm has reduced its emissions by 16% and its N by 24%.
The Wheel approach has become central to the farm’s planning and monitoring when making decisions on the farm.
